Terms of use
These terms cover your use of the FairHitch website (the "Site"), the listing report (the "Report") and the availability request form. The Site is run by Tier Services L.L.C., a Michigan limited liability company ("we", "us"), doing business as FairHitch. By using the Site or asking for a Report, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
What the Site is
FairHitch is an independent publisher of price information. We collect facts that RV dealers post on their own public websites, such as year, make, model, floorplan, advertised price, stock number and the date we saw the listing. Then we show how one advertised price compares with other advertised prices for similar RVs. Every number shows where we found it and the date we saw it.
- We are not a dealer, broker, lender or appraiser, and we do not sell RVs.
- We earn money from advertising, featured dealer listings, and fees when you ask a dealer about an RV through the Site (see "Asking a dealer about an RV" below). Paid content is labeled. Dealers cannot pay to change a price or a price label, and we are not owned by any dealer or maker. Dealer and maker names and logos belong to their owners. We use them only to say which listing we mean.
- What we publish is a statement about advertised prices on the date shown. It is not an appraisal, a valuation, a recommendation, or advice about whether to buy a particular RV.
Accuracy, and what you should do about it
We work to show advertised information correctly. But dealers change prices and stock at any time, and our records can be behind. An RV may already be sold or repriced. "Listing data as of [date]" is the last day we saw the listing. We do not check a dealer's page again when you view a page or ask for a Report. Always confirm the price, whether the RV is still available, and the out-the-door total with the dealer before you travel or pay.
If you think something we show is wrong, see our corrections log and use the correction / removal form. We fix confirmed errors in public.
The Report
- The Report is free. We ask for your email address so we can show you the Report and email you the link. See our privacy policy for what we do with it.
- We offer a Report only for listings where we have enough similar listings to compare, and we show you what the Report will contain before you ask for it.
- The Report is a digital document made when you ask for it. It is a saved copy as of the date shown on it, and it does not update after that.
- The Report is for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't resell or republish it.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Asking a dealer about an RV
- The "Check availability" form sends your request to FairHitch. We may earn a fee when you request a quote. It never changes a price label.
- We call or text you only if you give a phone number and tick the separate consent box that names the dealer. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. If you don't tick the box, we use your email address only.
- Please don't send Social Security, credit, income or insurance information through the form. We don't ask for it.
- We are not the seller. The dealer decides availability, price and terms.
Using the Site
You may browse and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't: slow down or overload the Site, or try to get around rate limits or security; copy the Site in bulk or build a rival database from it; pretend to be someone else; or use the Site for anything unlawful. We may limit or block access that does.
Our content and yours
Facts such as prices are not owned by anyone. But our choice and layout of facts, our calculations, text, design and software are ours and are protected by law. You may quote small parts with credit and a link back to the page. If you send us a correction or another message, you let us use it to run and improve the Site. We handle personal information as described in our privacy policy.
Disclaimers
The Site and Reports are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises of any kind (called warranties), whether stated or implied. That includes promises about accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Site will always work or be free of errors.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or savings, that come from your use of the Site or a Report, including decisions you make about buying an RV. If you have a claim against us about the Site or a Report, the most we owe you is what you paid us for that Report (or, if you only used the Site for free, $50). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Dealers
If you are a dealer and would like your listings removed or corrected, use the dealer opt-out form. Removal is free.
Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and if you keep using the Site you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, unless the law of your home state requires otherwise.
